Exciting forward Scott Kashket signed a deal initially until the end of December 2016 following his release from Leyton Orient, where he had made 22 appearances and scored once since being handed his first professional deal in 2014.

The pacy attacker scored twice on his home debut for the Chairboys against Crewe and followed it up with a goal in the Checkatrade Trophy win over West Ham, before entering a blistering run of form which saw him score a hat-trick at Chesterfield in the FA Cup, earning him a new two-and-a-half year deal.

The striker was rewarded with the Sky Bet League Two Player of the Month award for December, and reached 15 goals before suffering an injury midway through February. He returned to net the winner on the final day of the 2016/17 season against Cambridge United, but missed the first half of the 2017/18 campaign with a pelvic problem.

After a string of substitute appearances, Kashket made it a goalscoring return to the starting XI as he bagged the winner in a 2-1 home win over Grimsby Town on Easter Monday, he would go on to make two further appearances before the end of the season.
