Portuguese defender Jombati is one of the club’s longest-serving players, having joined Wycombe in 2014 after leaving Cheltenham Town.

He started out as a youngster at Sporting CP and came to the UK in 2005. Following successful spells at Weymouth and Basingstoke, the defender joined Bath where he helped them to the Conference and won the Player of the Year trophy which earned him a move to Cheltenham in 2011.

His switch to Adams Park saw him excel in his debut campaign, right up until an injury which ended his season early in February. He scored his first goal for the club in a 4-0 FA Cup win at Halifax in November 2015 which was later voted for as the Goal of the Season in at the awards dinner in May.

A threat from deadball situations, Sido went on to score free-kicks against Grimsby and Newport in the 2016/17 season which also saw him deputise on a number of occasions in the centre of defence.

After making 23 appearances in the promotion winning 2017/18 season, Jombati was rewarded with a new two-year deal which will run until June 2020, and he proved his worth throughout the club’s first year back in League 1, starring at centre-back for long periods of the campaign.
