“Mr Wycombe” continues to add to his legend status at Adams Park, entering his eighteenth season at the club having made well over 500 appearances since joining in 2003. With four promotions complementing a League Cup semi-final, Bloomfield has scored in each season to date.

Signed from Ipswich Town by Tony Adams in December 2003, ‘Blooms’ established himself as a consistent name on the team sheet. He made 34 appearances in the 2010/11 promotion to League One- including three goals and seven assists- as the hardworking midfielder enjoyed a testimonial to mark 10 years at the club against Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea in 2014.

Scoring the only goal in the closing game of the 2017/18 promotion campaign against Stevenage, his mark on Wycombe history continued to grow where he reached 500 appearances in the March 2019 1-1 draw with Sunderland- having already surpassed the club’s Football League appearance record in 2016/17.

His most significant promotion was to the Championship in 2019/20 where he featured 30 times, captaining the side on 23 occasions- including the Wembley play-off final. He scored twice, against Burton Albion and Bristol Rovers, and was part of the PFA panel discussing approaches to the COVID-19 pandemic in April 2020.

Captaining the Chairboys in their first ever Championship game, he made 16 appearances in the second tier where he scored the equaliser in a 1-1 draw at Derby County. With his first coaching role being evident in wins against Sheffield Wednesday and Birmingham City, he took upon a greater role in the dugout- also becoming a UEFA A license coach.
