The 20-year-old was Wycombe’s fourth signing of summer 2020, bringing with him a wealth of experience in the youth system.
Having begun his career in Blackpool’s academy at eight years old, he moved over to Manchester City’s youth setup, playing in the U18s and 23s. During his time at Manchester, he enjoyed regular game time in competitions such as the UEFA Youth League and the U18 Premier League.
In 2017, he was called up to the England U17 side, playing throughout the World Cup tournament played in India. During a penalty shootout against Japan, he saved and even scored a penalty, as England went on to win the competition.
During the 2020/21 Championship season, Anderson joined Walton Casuals on a month loan, keeping a clean sheet in his first appearance before the club’s season was halted indefinitely.
