Shrewsbury Town vs Wycombe Wanderers
Tuesday 28th September 2021 (KO 7:45pm)
Montgomery Waters Meadow
Referee: Ross Joyce

The Chairboys make the trip up to Shrewsbury Town on Tuesday night looking to bounce back from a frustrating loss at Stadium MK. Wycombe's loss came at the hands of Troy Parrott who slotted home a penalty in the 40th minute after Anthony Stewart was handed a red for a last-man challenge.

Shrewsbury Town on the other hand will be looking to make it four games unbeaten on the bounce, after coming from behind to beat AFC Wimbledon 2-1 on Saturday. They currently sit 20th in the League One table compared to the Chairboys' 6th, but their recent form shows that they won't be an easy side to face.

Team news

Gareth Ainsworth will have the majority of his players available tonight. Anthony Stewart looked to be a doubt after being sent off against MK Dons, but his red card was rescinded and he will be available for selection. With a busy fixture schedule coming up, Ainsworth will likely rotate his squad.

Elliott Bennett and Luke Leahy, who scored the equaliser for Shrewsbury on Saturday, will almost certainly start, after a strong showing against Wimbledon. Josh Vela could be a doubt for Steve Cotterill after he went off injured and will be assessed ahead of tonight.

Daniel Udoh could also make a start for the home side, after coming off the bench and scoring his first goal since a EFL Cup brace last month.

Tickets

Tickets are available to purchase online until 12pm today. If you are unable to collect your tickets from Adams Park, they will be taken up to the Montgomery Waters Meadow.

You will be able to purchase tickets on the gate, but please note this is cash only and there is no ATM at the ground.

Man in the middle

Ross Joyce has overseen four Wycombe Wanderers games, three of which have been defeats. He has tallied 22 yellows in 6 games this season, with one red.
