The Chairgirls Reserves went into Sunday's game looking to carry on their form from last week and add another three points to their tally.
This looked like a strong possibility when Rohanna Myers headed in from Amelia Gilbert's deep corner on 10 minutes to give Wycombe the lead.
The Chairgirls then made things more difficult for themselves then they probably should have, with a period overplaying the ball. They still, however, enjoyed a number of chances, but nothing to trouble the opposition keeper. At the other end, there was some resolute defending required to protect the lead.
Half time: Launton 0-1 Wycombe Wanderers Reserves
Wycombe started the second half brightly with Amy Norfolk, Naimh Creighton and Naomi Tilley all going close. It was in fact the latter, Naomi Tilley, stepping up from U18s, that made sure of the point; picking up the ball on the edge of the area, passing the defender and creating enough space to release a shot into the bottom corner.
The remainder of the game was seen out largely in the middle third of the pitch, with neither keeper really tested.

The game kicked off to a slow start but soon gained momentum and the girls settled into a 3, 5, 2 formation. Ro Myers stepped up as GK to cover for an injured Sophie Carter. Chloe Mackay, Vic Collett and Amelia Sage created a solid back line in defence, along with a rotating midfield of Char Hill, Jess Fuller, Lenis Cook and Summer Owen-Smith to allow our strikers to size up goalscoring opportunities higher up the pitch.
Some great chances were created by the midfield with some excellent passing but at that point nothing was converted as Penn & Tylers battled in defence. However, it wasn’t long before a short corner from Char Hill to Naomi Tilley put the Chairgirls ahead. A sigh of relief went around the supporters and 2 minutes later Tilley saw an opportunity to lob the keeper to make it a 2-0 lead just before the half time whistle was blown.

The second half saw a more determined Penn somehow manage to dodge the defensive wall with an effort on goal which hit the post. This spurred on the Wanderers and many more attempts were made from several of our players but to no avail as Penn continued to command the defence. Eventually, with continued pressure from all players Naomi Tilley put a cross from the left onto the waiting foot of Jess Gomes making the score 3-0.
With 20 minutes to go Wycombe got a player sent off and with 10 players on the pitch showed resilience and skill to take all three points with a clean sheet.
