Team news, tickets and more...

Wycombe Wanderers vs Morecambe
Saturday 2nd October 2021, KO 3pm
Adams Park
Sky Bet League 1
Referee: Tom Reeves

The Chairboys are back at home for the first time since the Wonder of Wycombe fixture against Charlton Athletic. Gareth Ainsworth’s side come into Saturday off the back of a 2-1 win against Shrewsbury on Tuesday night, breaking a run of poor form on the road mid-week, and will be looking to add another three points to their tally.

Despite Morecambe sitting five places below Wycombe in the table, their recent form has been strong, coming into the fixture after winning 2-0 against Lincoln City, drawing with Accrington 3-3 and beating Crewe 3-1, with Shrimps man Cole Stockton netting nine times to become the League One current top goalscorer.

Both teams will be eager to continue their good form, with the Chairboys’ 100% home record at stake, and Morecambe looking to climb the table.

Team news

Gareth Ainsworth will again have nearly a full squad available on Saturday, and with Garath McCleary and Jordan Obita rested for the majority of the Shrewsbury game, they may make a return to the starting-XI.

Morecambe will be without Shane McLoughlin who is still serving a suspension after being sent off against Accrington Stanley. Alfie McCalmont was utilised as a replacement in previous games, and it’s expected that Stephen Robinson will stick with the same against the Chairboys.

Man in the middle

Referee Tom Reeves is yet to referee a League One fixture this season, but has dished out 28 yellows and one red in seven games across League Two, the EFL Cup and Premier League 2.
