Wycombe Wanderers vs Crewe Alexandra
Saturday 23rd October 2021 (KO 3pm)
Referee: Steve Martin
After back to back away matches in Yorkshire over the past week, Wycombe return to Adams Park on Saturday as they host Crewe Alexandra.
The Chairboys took four points from six away from the fixtures against Doncaster Rovers and Rotherham United in 0-2 and 0-0 results respectively, and will look to extend their healthy home form and make it six wins out of six wins this season in League One.
Crewe meanwhile were victims to a 4-0 drubbing from title challengers Sunderland on Tuesday night, meaning they are now winless in the league in six games and find themselves a point above bottom of the league Doncaster.
In a game that will see fireworks and pyrotechnics being set off before and after the match, Wycombe welcome back a former Chairboy in Scott Kashket to Our House, who joined The Railwaymen this summer after five years in Buckinghamshire.
Gareth Ainsworth goes into another matchday without any new injury concerns. Dominic Gape came off slightly sheepishly in the game at Rotherham, but is fully fit for Saturday.
Crewe boss David Artell meanwhile is still without midfielder Callum Ainley, who is sidelined with a hamstring problem and may not make his return for another four weeks.
New signing Chris Long made his return against Sunderland in midweek and looks in contention to feature once more. On-loan Manchester City youngster Ben Knight is also on the cusp of a return to full training.
Tickets can be purchased online up until kick-off and Ticket Office 1 will be open from 12-3pm for sales. Any tickets that have been ordered for collection can be collected in the club reception.
There are no parking passes available on the day at the stadium and have now gone off sale.
You can make use of the Park and Ride scheme from West Wycombe (Cowleaze Field) for a cost of £5 per vehicle. There is also a bus service running from the High Wycombe train station with fares of £3.
The Park and Ride from Cowleaze Field will depart every 15 minutes between 1:00pm and 2:45pm, and dropping fans off at the end of Hillbottom Road. The services for the return journey will be available to board from 4.45pm, and continue as required until 6.15pm at the latest.
The bus service running from the station departing from bay X3 will run at 12:45pm, 1:30pm and 2:15pm, heading direct to Adams Park with no stops. Return journeys will run from 5:15pm and 6pm.
