Rotherham United vs Wycombe Wanderers
Tuesday 19th October 2021 (KO 7:45pm)
The New York Stadium
Referee: Robert Madley
The Chairboys are in Yorkshire again to take on another former Championship club in Rotherham United at the New York Stadium. The Millers currently sit fifth in the League One table and Paul Warne's team will be looking to secure another three points - the same number that is currently separating them and Plymouth Argyle from top spot.
After a positive display against bottom placed Doncaster on Saturday which saw the Chairboys win 2-0, Gareth Ainsworth will be looking to build momentum in order to remain at the business end of the table.
Rotherham meanwhile were also victors on the weekend, as they put struggling Portsmouth to the sword in a dominant 4-1 display.
The last time the two sides met at the New York Stadium was during the 2020/21 Championship season, in which the Chairboys dominated, winning 3-0. Chairboys fans will be hoping for the same today.
Gareth Ainsworth's men came away unscathed from the Doncaster fixture, meaning he once again has a full squad at his disposal when they take on the Millers.
Sam Vokes was the only notable absentee from that game on Saturday, as he celebrated in welcoming his second child into the world. The Welshman returns to the side tonight and likely straight back into the starting XI.
As for Rotherham, manager Paul Warne will also be looking to field a strong side to carry on in their momentum.
Michael Ihiekwe and Viktor Johansson will be assessed ahead of the game, after the pair suffered slight knocks in the win over Pompey.
Tickets are now no longer available to buy online, with those being purchased already being taken up to the New York Stadium for collection.
However, tickets will be available at Rotherham to buy on the night.
Man in the middle
Tonight's referee Bobby Madley takes centre stage in what is his first game officiating Wycombe since April 2013 - a 2-1 win over Aldershot.
This season he has been in charge of 10 games, dishing out 31 yellow cards and one red in the process.
