Despite some battling play from the Reserves, they couldn't quite do enough to take any points from an experienced Chinnor side.
The Chairgirls went into the game full of confidence on the back of a good win, all be it against another unknown quantity.
Starting first seemed to be working well when a through ball on 3 minutes was collected and put over by striker Naimh Creighton and the resulting corner was headed just wide by centre back Eve Savage.
On 7 minutes Creighton gave Amelia Gilbert a through ball to run on to and having being fouled Creighton saw her follow up saved.
Luck seemed to not be on Wycombe’s side, the 8th minute saw winger Sally Grimm hit the side netting when latching on to a cut back and the 9th minute saw a first time shot from Grimm then saved by the Chinnor goalkeeper.
The sucker punch came in the 10th minute when a mix up between goalkeeper and defender saw Chinnor take advantage and make it 1-0 to the home team.
Chinnor doubled their lead 2 minutes later when Wycombe failed to clear their lines and the ball ended up being hammered into the bottom of corner.
Wycombe were again the stronger team for the next 10 minutes and were unlucky to see a left foot shot from Amelia Gilbert saved by the Chinnor keeper. Their reward came on 27 minutes when a shot from Gilbert was parried into the path of Sally Grimm on stroke it home.
Chinnor hit straight back 5 minutes later with a fantastic long range effort that sailed over keeper Lillie Eames and into the back of the net to make it 3-1.
Almost identical to their first goal, Wycombe doubled their tally just before half time when Amy Norfolk hit home having followed up on a cross from Amelia Gilbert that the Chinnor keeper could not hold on to.
Half time: Chinnor 3-2 Wycombe Wanderers Reserves
Wycombe looked to start the 2nd half fast but were dealt a further hammer blow on 50 mins when another 30yard effort lobbed keeper Eames.
Despite the score line Wycombe were the team in the ascendency and their perseverance paid off when they were awarded a penalty for handball on 65 minutes and captain Emilie Bamford stepped up to cooly slot away.
Pushing for the equaliser, Naimh Creighton saw a shot pushed wide on 75 minutes and centre back Eve Savage had a header cleared off the line from the resulting corner.
To add insult to injury, Savage was penalised by the referee, giving away a penalty for a dubious handball 2 minutes later and the opportunity was taken well by Chinnor. 5-3.
Wycombe’s endeavour seemed to leave them after this and Chinnor increased their lead on the 85th and 88th minute with identical goals, hitting the Chairgirls on the break and shooting past Eames into the bottom corner.
