The young Chairgirls came from behind to reach the next round of the Berks and Bucks cup, beating Wing Raider Belles 4-2!
An early start in miserable rain saw the Chairgirls travel cross country for their first encounter against Wing Raiders.
The sun came out, as Wycombe started just as brightly with some lovely passing moves. The Chairgirls dominated the half and created a number of chances against a well organised Wing Raiders.
Ruby Paish scored first with the help of a great assist from Summer Smith and Wycombe went into the break deservedly 1-0 ahead.

Wing started the brighter of the two sides after half time and caught Wycombe’s defence off guard within 10 minutes of the restart, drawing level with a well taken strike, their first attempt on goal.
Shortly after Wing then took the lead with a counterattack - another well worked and deserved goal to make it 2-1 Wing Raiders.
The Chairgirls for the first time in the match needed to focus their efforts and dig deep. Wing still looked menacing and up for the challenge. With 20 minutes left on the clock, Wycombe struck back through Naomi Tilley with a long-range effort making it 2-2.
With 10 minutess to go the Chairgirls began to really combine as a team forcing Wing onto the back foot and creating lots of chances. It didn’t take long for a chance to pay off as Molly Carter threaded a lovely through ball onto Brooke Sanders who powered the ball into the top of the net from just inside the box. 3-2 Wycombe.
The Chairgirls, who had noticeably shifted up a gear, created another chance shortly after. A well worked short corner between Ruby Paish and Naomi Tilley allowed the latter to break into the box, powerfully ride a challenge off a Wing defender, before smashing the ball home into the side netting.
