Chairboys strike up neighbourly partnership with 'Our Sands'

"We want to make sure we are as accommodating as possible for those people who live nearby."

Wycombe Wanderers Football Club are pleased to have developed its relationship with ‘Our Sands’, formerly known as the Sands Residents Association, as part of its plans to better engage with the club’s most local neighbours.

The Chairboys have pledged to make its Adams Park home more accessible for Our Sands members, including making parts of the stadium available as part of local walks, cycle events and committee meetings organised by the association.

The two parties will also engage in joint business networking ventures, and pledge to work together on resolving any issues relating to local traffic, parking and noise on home matchdays.

Wanderers’ Head of Operations Neil Peters said: “We want to be good neighbours to local residents in Sands and make sure that matchdays don’t cause a headache; in fact we want to make sure we are as accommodating as possible for those people who live nearby and want to come along to enjoy a good day out with us.

“Wycombe Wanderers attract a lot of visitors to the area, we employ a lot of local people in different roles, and we’re a club with global aspirations but local values, making sure that everything we do is built around enjoyment, safety and smart commercial thinking.

“We’re delighted to be developing our involvement with Our Sands and its residents, and look forward to strengthening those ties over the coming weeks, months and years.”
