Sheffield Wednesday vs Wycombe Wanderers
Saturday 27th November 2021 (KO 3pm)
Hillsborough
Referee: Darren Drysdale

Wanderers head north to Sheffield having not long returned from the south-west, where they ended league leaders Plymouth's unbeaten home record and underline their own promotion credentials.

Next up are a Sheffield Wednesday outfit who were relegated from the Championship alongside the Blues last term - ultimately courtesy of a points deduction - and have made a solid start in their efforts to make an immediate return, sitting fifth in the table with just one home defeat all year, and one loss in their last 13 games in all competitions.

The Owls were the victims of Wanderers' first ever Championship victory at Adams Park last October, but gained revenge at a snowy Hillsborough in February, winning 2-0. That was also the scoreline any Wycombe fans saw their side play at the famous stadium, when Wednesday triumphed on the final day of the 2011/12 season to clinch promotion to the second tier.

Wycombe go into a 10-day break from the action after Saturday's encounter and they'll want to end the month on a high, having seen off Bolton and Plymouth already this week.

Tickets
Tickets are no longer available to pre-purchase online or at Adams Park, but they can be purchased on the day at Hillsborough (cash only at the turnstile).

Any tickets that have not been collected from Adams Park will be taken up to Sheffield Wednesday for collection there.

Man in the middle
Darren Drysdale is in charge again, having overseen the 2-2 FA Cup draw between Hartlepool and Wycombe earlier this month.

He's refereed 16 Wanderers fixtures in total, the first of which was way back in 2005, and only showed 26 yellows and no reds in that time, awarding two penalties.

Kit
Wanderers will be in their gold change strip, with the keeper in pink.
