Gareth Ainsworth has sent a video message of support to Wycombe Homeless Connection ahead of their Big Sleepout event on Friday 19th November.
The charity held the event in the stands at Adams Park for two years running before Covid-19 restrictions prompted a re-think, requiring participants to swap their bed for a sleeping bag at home to help fight homelessness.
Ainsworth said: "We loved having the event at the stadium and playing our part, but this year you can still sleep out and support Wycombe Homeless Connection. Join in, or if you can't, make sure you join the quiz. A lot of people don't have the luxury we do, so let's help these guys and girls by taking part in the sleepout."
Wycombe Homeless Connection want you to ‘sleep out’ on Friday 19th November to help keep people who are homeless safe this winter.
With your help, they will be able to offer people who are homeless in Wycombe and across south Buckinghamshire a safe, warm place to stay during the coldest, most dangerous months of the year.
Get involved: Sleepout 'at home’ and to ask family and friends to sponsor you.
You can sleep:
- in your garden
- in an (empty) bathtub
- on the school playground
- outside a youth club
- in the work car park
- or just somewhere you wouldn’t normally sleep!
You can take part on your own, with your family or with a group, and there’s no age limit so everyone can join in.
