Wanderers played host to a special event in aid of Children In Need on Friday lunchtime, with a group of local businessmen arriving at Adams Park for a VIP experience in return for contributions to the charity.

The group received a tour of the stadium, lunch in the Woodlands Lounge, and a surprise changing room talk from manager Gareth Ainsworth, who took questions and posed for photos.

A charity raffle made £500 from a signed framed shirt, and £650 for a signed League 1 matchball, which was returned to the club to re-raffle by joint-top bidders Q Intelligent Security and WCM Partners.

Neil Peters, Head of Operations at Wycombe Wanderers, said: “We were delighted to be asked by Ben Brocklesby, a good friend of the club at our sponsors Origin Global, to put on a small event for this local business network, and generate funds for Children In Need.

“The group were great fun and very generous with their bidding, and we very much enjoyed showcasing the wonderful facilities that Adams Park has to offer.”
