Ticket news, Christmas specials, travel and more...

Wycombe Wanderers vs AFC Wimbledon
Saturday 11th December 2021 (KO 3pm)
Adams Park
Referee: Will Finnie

It's the last home match before Christmas, and the Chairboys will look to get Adams Park rocking. AFC Wimbledon are the visitors, and after some strong results against Plymouth, Sheffield Wednesday and Burton, Gareth Ainsworth's side will be hoping for more of the same against a mid-table side.

The young AFC Wimbledon squad have picked up some variable results, most recently collecting seven points from the last five league matches. Their FA Cup run is still ongoing, having won their ties against Guiseley (1-0) and Cheltenham Town (4-3).

Wimbledon have had a lot of joy in their previous encounters with the Chairboys, winning seven, drawing four and losing just the two in 13 meetings. However, both teams have had major changes since their last meeting in August 2019, and Ainsworth will be looking for the three points.

Food and drink

Christmas is a time to treat yourself and there are plenty of food options to choose from on Saturday to do just that!

Hellfire BBQ will not only be serving their usual popular fare, but also some Christmas specials. Will Shaw Chef has launched new Turkey, Bacon & Stuffing Pie alongside a vegan Cauliflower Balti Pie, while mulled wine will be available in the Caledonian Suite, Honours Lounge and Woodlands Lounge.

We will also be joined by the Caribbean Food Shack, who will be in the away village.

Christmas additions

As Saturday's game is the last home fixture before Christmas, there'll be plenty of festive fun going on at the ground. Despite a busy schedule, we'll have Father Christmas and his sleigh at the ground for young Chairboys fans to pass on their wishlists. The Salvation Army band will also be on hand to welcome fans with all your favourite Christmas tunes.

If you're still looking for some gifts for friends and family, we've got some great options in our mini Christmas market - Coffee Snobs, Ember & Wild and the Wycombe Wanderers Limited Edition gin stall will be near the entrance to the Caledonian Lounge, so you can pick something up before enjoying the football. You can find out more about the stalls here.

And the One Can Trust food bank collection point will be open as usual, so please bring tinned and canned items for them to distribute to local families this Christmas.

Man in the middle

Will Finnie has made 18 refereeing appearances across League One, League Two, the FA Cup and the EFL Cup and Trophy. In those appearances, he's dished out 29 yellows, two reds and three penalties.

Finnie has only refereed one Wycombe game previously - a high-scoring 3-3 draw with Peterborough in which Curtis Thompson received a second yellow in the 83rd minute and Adebayo Akinfenwa scored a brace.
