Ipswich Town vs Wycombe Wanderers
Wednesday 29th December 2021 (k.o. 7.45pm)
Adams Park
Referee: Samuel Barrott

The Chairboys are back in action after 18 days away, travelling east to conclude 2021 with a League 1 meeting with Ipswich Town in front of 26,000+ supporters at Portman Road.

Covid cases in the Bolton and Cambridge squads caused an unwanted halt to Wanderers' momentum, but Gareth Ainsworth's men will look to capitalise on the benefit of being virtually fully fit and fresh to take on a Tractor Boys outfit who triumphed 4-1 in the reverse fixture at Adams Park last month.

They're under new management, with Kieran McKenna taking charge of Town for the first time this evening, and he'll be greeted by a bumper home crowd with the home club running a special ticket promotion for their festive fixtures.

Wycombe will have 624 supporters cheering them on from one corner of the Portman Road stadium, eager to end the year on a high and keep up the pace amidst a frenetic battle for places at the top end of League 1.

Ticket news
This is an all-ticket game, so there are no more available to purchase. Any tickets not collected from Adams Park will be taken to Portman Road for collection from 6.30pm.

Man in the middle
Samuel Barrott has never before refereed an Ipswich or Wycombe fixture, with this being his second season as an EFL official. He's shown 82 yellow cards in 21 fixtures this season, but no reds.

Wycombe will be in their red and white quarters, with the keeper in black.
