Blues and Ignite team up for successful business event

Guests treated to VIP experience in Woodlands Lounge before Burton match.

8 December 2021

Wycombe Wanderers were proud to host their first business networking event of the 2021/22 – in association with Ignite UK – ahead of Tuesday’s night’s 2-1 League 1 victory over Burton Albion.

More than 50 representatives of current and prospective club partners gathered in the newly-renovated Woodlands Lounge – complete with stylish festive décor – to enjoy a first-class pre-match buffet from Lata Lata and hear from commercial manager Harry Gadd, manager Gareth Ainsworth and chairman Rob Couhig, before enjoying a presentation from Ramon Santos, CEO of Ignite.

Ramon and his team were on hand to demonstrate cutting-edge virtual reality technology and demonstrate how virtual reality could have an impact on the business and sporting worlds, as well as explaining his pride at Ignite’s association with the Chairboys.

Guests then took to their seats to cheer on the Blues for their triumph over the Brewers, capping an all-round successful night on and off the pitch.

Harry Gadd, Wanderers’ commercial manager, said: “It was fantastic to host so many business representatives here to showcase the many improvements that we’ve made around the stadium and in our business operation over the past couple of years.

“We’ve received great feedback already from many guests and I’d like to thank Gareth and Rob for giving up their time to come along and explain why our partners are such an important and integral part of the club and everything we’re striving to achieve.

“I’d also like to extend a special thank you to Ramon Santos for delivering a fascinating presentation and speaking so passionately about how Ignite have become one of our closest and innovative partners, which demonstrates the value of coming on board with  us in a commercial capacity.”

Ramon Santos added: “The team at Ignite were honoured to be asked to partner with Wycombe Wanderers for this event and took great pride in meeting fellow partners of the club, and explaining our role in supporting the club on and off the pitch.

“We specialise in full fibre / tech sales enablement and delivering innovative events and experiences for clients nationwide. We were thrilled to be asked to attend this special event. The opportunity to add a little extra wow factor with our demos on what was a brilliant night in terms of the football and the entertainment for the guests in the Woodlands Lounge was the cherry on the cake.”
