Wycombe Wanderers have continued their summer recruitment with the capture of highly-rated striker Brandon Hanlan from Bristol Rovers.
The 24-year-old arrives at Adams Park for an undisclosed fee, having impressed previously at League 1 level in two seasons with Gillingham, and linked up with the Chairboys on Thursday after successfully passing his medical.
Boss Gareth Ainsworth said: “Brandon caught our eye a few years ago playing for Colchester and we’ve followed his progress ever since. We feel he’s the right fit for our squad and how we want to play, and we’re really pleased to bring him here.
Hanlan started out at Charlton Athletic, playing 15 times for the Addicks, before scoring four times in eight games in a loan spell for Bromley in the National League.
His next loan spell came at Colchester, netting against the Blues in Wycombe’s 2-1 win in Essex in September 2017, and he returned to Bromley for the second half of that campaign.
The striker crossed paths with the Chairboys again for Gillingham the following season after making a permanent switch to the Gills, scoring 16 times in two years, and then found the net nine times in a struggling Bristol Rovers side which succumbed to relegation from the third tier last season.
Brandon has signed a three-year deal with the Blues, and will wear number 18.
