Wycombe's women's under-18s recorded a 5-1 win over Maidenhead B&GC at the weekend.
The team went into the game full of confidence after a 7-0 win on their return to football last week.
After seeing their first couple of chances saved, Emilie Bamford opened the scoring on 15 minutes, lobbing the keeper from 25 yards. A strong contender for goal of the season!
Wycombe went in 2-0 up at half time.
Despite starting the second half much like the first, a lack of concentration allowed Maidenhead to break through the defence and scored passed an on rushing Amy Whale on 54 mins.
Any nerves were settled almost immediately when Wycombe went on the attack and Maddie Woods followed up on her own blocked shot to make the score 3-1 on 57 minutes.
This was followed up shortly after with some fantastic quick passing football that landed at the feet of winger Sally Grimm who shot across goal from the edge of the area to make it 4-1 on 62 minutes.
Although the remainder of the game played out much the same, Wycombe defending stubbornly and seeing a number of chances denied it was not until the 82nd minute that Kiyanna Fryer finished off the scoring, shooting past the keeper from close range, having followed up on a saved shot from Amelia Gilbert.
