Gareth Ainsworth has completed the loan signing of Everton midfielder Dennis Adeniran, who moves to Adams Park on a season-long deal.

The 21-year-old started out with Fulham and became the Cottagers’ youngest ever scorer, netting on his senior debut in a League Cup victory in 2016.

He also appeared for England Under-17s in the European Championships that summer, and went on to represent the Young Lions at Under-18 and Under-19 level, moving to Everton in August 2017.

Adeniran has impressed for the Toffees’ Under-23 side, and prompted Ainsworth to bring him to South Bucks ahead of Saturday’s Championship fixture with Swansea City.

“Dennis is an exciting young talent who has all the attributes to become a really important player for us this season,” the manager said. “He’s a really energetic, box-to-box midfielder, and comes here eager to learn and develop his game, which we believe he can do just like many other young loanees who’ve joined us early in their careers.

“We’ve had a few injury and suspension problems in the middle of the park so Dennis arrives at a key time and adds extra competition for places.”

Dennis will wear squad number 24, and his shirt is available for sponsorship here.
