Anthony Stewart, Joe Jacobson and Nnamdi Ofoborh were the big winners of the 2019/20 player awards, which were presented at the club’s training ground on Tuesday morning.
Defender Stewart received the Players’ Player of the Year prize, having been an ever-present in the promotion-winning side and capping an outstanding season with a goal and Man of the Match-winning performance in the play-off final. Jacobson and Darius Charles were runners-up.
Jacobson landed the Supporters’ Player of the Year award, pipping Stewart and Charles after scoring 12 times from left-back, including a memorable hat-trick of set-pieces against Lincoln in September, and dispatching the crucial penalty that sealed promotion against Oxford at Wembley.
