Wanderers have won the League Managers Association's Performance of the Week award for their 2-1 comeback victory against Birmingham City on Wednesday, with manager Gareth Ainsworth and his assistant Richard Dobson sharing the award.
Ainsworth was forced to miss the game as he recovered at home following back surgery, but remained in close contact with his assistant, who oversaw a second consecutive win as the Chairboys overcame their first-half deficit to take all three points thanks to goals from Scott Kashket and Fred Onyedinma.
The League Managers Association’s panel, comprising LMA Chairman Howard Wilkinson, Sir Alex Ferguson, Joe Royle, Dave Bassett, Barry Fry Paul Ince and Rachel Yankey, has determined that the LMA Performance of the Week Award, in association with Sky Sports Soccer Saturday, should go to Wycombe.
Richard Dobson received a celebratory bottle of champagne, courtesy of Tanners Wines, and the LMA Performance of the Week trophy on behalf of the whole coaching team.
