Update from the Sports & Education Trust

Non-school based activity suspended.

17 March 2020

Wycombe Wanderers Sports & Education Trust would like to provide  stakeholders with the following update.

As previously stated, WWSET’s first priority is the welfare of our staff and the participants who attend our various programmes and activities.

The most recent government advice, as well as advice taken from The FA, Premier League and English Football League is as follows:

Community Delivery
Any delivery not taking place within schools should be suspended for the foreseeable future. Whilst we would be working with many groups where there is a lower general risk and in open air environments, the advice is that all individuals should begin social distancing and avoiding unnecessary travel. For this reason WWSET will be suspending delivery of all non-school based activity as of today.

School Delivery
At present the advice is that schools activity may continue if our school partners wish that to be the case, it is helpful to them, and we and our relevant staff member(s) feel comfortable to continue. Therefore, at this time WWSET shall continue delivery of all sessions that take place on school grounds within curriculum time, plus our after school clubs.

Please rest assured that WWSET fully recognise the fast-moving and ever-changing situation we all find ourselves in with regards to COVID-19, and we will continue to liaise with Wycombe Wanderers FC, our staff and our local partners concerning our approach.

In the event that local medical guidance supports further cessation of activity this will of course be actioned.

As always, should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact WWSET.
