Tickets available for Ex-Players Quiz Night

Trevor Stroud's team will be attempting to defend their title.

3 March 2020

Tickets are still available for the Ex-Players Association’s annual quiz night, taking place in the Caledonian Suite on the evening of Saturday 21st March.

Having successfully headed and completed takeover talks with Wycombe’s new American owners, Trevor Stroud moves on to more important duties in a couple of weeks’ time. The former Blues chairman will lead a Wycombe Wanderers Trust team into WWEPA’s annual quiz on Saturday 21st March. And he’s determined they’ll again lift the silverware.

Last year they surprised the odds and lived up to their names - Things Can Only Get Better - by squeezing home. In the end, just three points separated the top nine teams. Serial winners led by Mike Knox (School For Scandal) and Rod Lavers (People’s Republic of Chinnor) were edged into joint second place along with Geoff Hutchinson’s North Norfolk Digital. And just a further point back were teams led by WWEPA Chairman Alan Hutchinson and committeeman Keith Samuels.

All these teams will be battling it out again in the Caledonian Suite to topple Trevor and his team. But we can still squeeze in a few more tables. Fans as well as ex-players welcome. Maskell and Vince Faulkner are completing another set of fiendish questions.

It’s just £16 per member, and £17 for non-members. That includes a delicious supper of Beef Stew and Dumplings, followed by Sticky Toffee Pudding with Custard. Vegetarian option available. Profits go to the Stroke Association. Email to be put in touch with the organisers for a booking form.
