One Can Trust in need of donations

Foodbank requires monetary donations to continue to support local people.

31 March 2020

Wycombe Wanderers are pleased to support an appeal for monetary donations to the One Can Trust foodbank in High Wycombe, due to increased demand but reduced supply of food items for underprivileged people in the local community.

The foodbank partnered with the club earlier this season and holds a collection at each home matchday, receiving dozens of tinned and packaged goods which are distributed as emergency food parcels to people in crisis in the community.

Demand for food parcels has increased as a result of the coronavirus outbreak, with many families hit by job losses, but supply has dwindled due to people being unable to leave their homes to drop items at the foodbank, and many supermarkets being short of tinned goods.

Therefore the club would like to share an appeal for monetary donations, which can be made easily and securely online at justgiving.com/crowdfunding/wwfconecantrust.

First to donate was Blues boss Gareth Ainsworth, who said: "In these really testing times it's great to have such an amazing organisation here for those who need it the most. I know that just having the support of others can make such a huge difference. "

Alternative ways to donate can be found here: onecantrust.org.uk/donate/donate-money.

If you are a UK taxpayer and are eligible to Gift Aid your donations, One Can Trust can reclaim 25p of tax on every £1 that you give with no extra cost to you. Download their Gift Aid declaration form and either scan and email it to onecan@live.co.uk.

Thank you in advance to those who are able to contribute.
