Using the car? These are the recommended road directions
From the northbound M6, follow signs for the M62 and leave at Junction 21a, following signs for Manchester. Join the M60 at Junction 12 and proceed to follow signs for the M61 towards Preston. Do NOT take the A666 towards Bolton. Turn off the M61 at Junction 6 and take the third exit off the roundabout onto the A6027, the De Havilland Way. At the next roundabout, take a left turn onto Burnden Way and park in the main stadium visitors' car park.

Mileage from High Wycombe = 195 (The journey should take around 3¼ hours)

Recommended area for car parking
BWFC recommend “Car Park A” that is available for away supporters. This is located at the South end of the stadium and is accessed via the A6027, De Havilland Way. This car park is clearly sign posted from the motorway junction. Parking is available for cars, mini coaches and coaches. Entry can be purchased on a matchday, price per car = £7. A lot of the surrounding industrial estate units offer cheaper parking, usually around the £4-£5 mark.

Travelling by coach?
OWWSA will be running a coach that will leave Adams Park at 09.00. Travel prices are £26 for adults, £25 for seniors, and £24 for juniors. The price for non-members is £31 (no refund if game is cancelled and the coaches have left their depot). Non-members are required to pay at the time of booking their seat.  If you wish to book by phone (Rena 01494 520179, Graham 07876 267301) or by e-mail ( you need to do so by Thursday 13th February at 17.00 hrs.

Using the train?
The University of Bolton Stadium is located approximately 200 metres from Horwich Parkway Station. There is a regular Avanti West Coast Service from Euston to Stockport where you can take a Northern service to Horwich.

Facilities for away fans
The ground capacity is 28,723 (all seated). Away fans are housed in the two-tiered South Stand at one end of the ground. The leg room and facilities within this stand are good. Wycombe have received an initial allocation of 750 seats in the Franking Sense South Stand, Lower Tier. A decision on whether to allow on-the-day sales will be made closer to the game, so fans should check the website for confirmation.

Time on your hands?
I have heard that “The Beehive” on Chorley New Road is the main pub for away supporters. It is about a 10-15-minute walk away. You can also park your car there. Another option is pub is “The Barnstormers” on Lostock Lane (from the M61, go past the stadium on your left, move into the right-hand filter lane and turn right at the traffic lights into Lostock Lane, the pub is down on the right).  There are plenty of eating outlets on the nearby Middlebrook Retail Park.
