13-year-old fan loses brave fight against sepsis.

10 January 2020

Wycombe Wanderers sends its condolences to the friends, family and team-mates of Oliver Darlington, who lost his brave fight against sepsis last week at the age of just 13 years old.

Oliver was an avid Wanderers fan, attending matches regularly with his dad Tom - a season ticket holder and Trust member - while he also played football locally with Downley Dynamos, winning many trophies.

Described as being "full of life and fun, with his whole future ahead of him", Oliver passed away on January 3rd after spending four days in intensive care battling the effects of sepsis after contracting a heavy cold.

Friends of Oliver's family have started a JustGiving page to help raise funds for the UK Sepsis Trust and awareness of the risks of sepsis - please click here if you are able to donate.

The club will be welcoming Downley Dynamos to its home match against Bristol Rovers on 8th February and are in discussions with the team with regards to arranging an appropriate tribute.
