Oli's 11 shirt to be paraded at Adams Park

Minute's applause arranged for the 11th minute.

7 February 2020

Team-mates of Oliver Darlington - the 13-year-old Chairboys fan who lost his life to sepsis last month - will parade his number 11 Downley Dynamos shirt around the pitch ahead of tomorrow's League 1 game with Bristol Rovers at Adams Park.

The Under-13s will be part of a group of more than 350 of Oli's friends, team-mates family members in the Origin Family Stand, with his immediate family being hosted in two executive boxes.

All proceeds from the ticket sales from the large Dynamos group will be donated back to Downley to assist with renovations to their changing room facilities, in Oli's memory, and parents from the team will also be collecting donations from supporters before the match towards a memorial bench, which is planned to be installed on the Pedestal playing fields in West Wycombe where Downley train and play.

At around 2.45pm, the Dynamos under-13s will take part in a lap of the pitch, holding aloft Oli's number 11 shirt and a WWFC shirt with Darlington printed on the back. The team will then join the Wanderers' starting XI for a joint photo with the two shirts.

Supporters are asked to join in with a minute's applause in the 11th minute as a mark of respect.

Donations for the memorial bench can also be made online via this website, while the family have also asked for donations to the UK Sepsis Trust here.
