A collection towards a memorial bench for Oliver Darlington raised more than £1,400 at Saturday's match against Bristol Rovers.

More than 350 friends, family and Downley Dynamos team-mates gathered at Adams Park to pay respects to Oliver, who passed away last month after a short battle with sepsis.

Parents from Downley collected donations from fans before kick-off, while his Dynamos under-13s side paraded his number 11 shirt with a Wanderers shirt bearing his name, signed by the Chairboys squad.

In the 11th minute of the game, supporters of both Wycombe and Bristol Rovers rose to their feet to applaud in his honour, and following the final whistle, Blues boss Gareth Ainsworth carried his 11 shirt around the pitch as a mark of dedicating the 3-1 victory to Oli.
