Four Chairboys stars will join club chaplain Benedict Musola on a special church service broadcast across the country on 38 BBC local radio stations on Sunday 3rd January from 8am.
Adebayo Akinfenwa, Jason McCarthy, Alex Samuel and Cameron Yates will share their experiences of faith in football during this episode of the popular series of 30-minute Christian services, which are aired on FM and also available via BBC Sounds.
The series began in March, and have included broadcasts from Archbishop Justin Welby, Cardinal Vincent Nichols and Archbishop John Sentamu, earning acclaim nationwide for easing feelings of loneliness and isolation during the pandemic.
“We expanded our religious programming on the first weekend of lockdown in March and will continue to broadcast services and reflections until life returns to normal.
“I am incredibly proud of the work our teams have carried out since the pandemic began.”
Although places of worship reopened earlier this year, strict social distancing measures were in place and singing was forbidden.
