Cameron Yates has signed an extension to his contract with Wycombe Wanderers, keeping him at Adams Park until June 2021.
The 20-year-old goalkeeper arrived from Leicester City in the summer of 2018 and, although he’s yet to make a first-team appearance, has impressed the management staff with his progress in training and friendly matches.
Boss Gareth Ainsworth said: “Cam looks every part a promising young goalkeeper who has what it takes to enjoy a successful career in professional football, and we’re keen to make sure he continues his development with us.
“I’m sure his opportunity in the first team will come at some point and we’d have no hesitation about throwing him in, because he’s a very talented young lad who’s worked extremely hard alongside (first-team coach) Andy Fairman and has earned his new deal.”
