Wycombe Wanderers are thrilled to continue its partnership with Wycombe Leisure Centre, who have extended their support of the club as the Chairboys’ Official Fitness Training Partner for a fourth season.
The Centre, based at Handy Cross in High Wycombe, opened its doors in January 2016 and has regularly hosted Wanderers players in their state-of-the-art gymnasium and swimming pool, as well as sponsoring a number of fixtures at Adams Park and running promotional activities for supporters.
David Wates, the club’s sports scientist, said: “Wycombe Leisure Centre is a first-class facility and an ideal training venue for our players, so we’re delighted that the partnership has been extended for another season. The players have really felt the benefit of having the Centre right on their doorstep, enabling them to do extra work outside of their regular training patterns to keep a high level of fitness and sharpness as well as helping with rehabilitation from any injuries they have.”
Stuart Lee, Contract Manager of Wycombe Leisure Centre, said: “Wycombe Wanderers have been a great partner for us ever since we opened the Centre in 2016 and it’s the perfect fit for us to have a professional sports club making use of the facilities that we provide.
“We’ve enjoyed getting to know the players, backroom staff and supporters, and look forward to building those relationships even further over the coming months and playing a part in the improving matchday experience around Adams Park on the games that we will be proudly sponsoring.”
