Wycombe Wanderers were the first team this season to take points off league leaders City Belles as they held the visitors to a 1-1 draw. It could've been even better and Wycombe will rue the chances they missed to win the game in the second half.
The opening 10 minutes had the visitors seeing a lot of the ball, pressing Wycombe back towards their own goal and drawing a fantastic save from Amy Whale. After soaking up the pressure, the Blues got hold of the game and and a great finish from Bridget Harrington opened the scoring, as she fired the loose ball in to the roof of the net.
Wycombe came out after the interval at a great tempo and controlled much of the second half but City Belles showed just one of the many reasons why it'd taken until match six of the season for them to drop points. A break down the the right worked some space for an easy finish past Whale.
Wycombe Wanderers Ladies U18s are at home again this coming Saturday as they take on Tattenhoe U18s Girls at ASM Stadium in Thame.
