Rob: Optimism is our way of living

Majority shareholder-in-waiting tweets message after FA Cup match.

Wanderers' majority shareholder-in-waiting Rob Couhig has tweeted his positive outlook for the journey ahead, despite seeing the club's FA Cup dream end at Adams Park last night.

Having followed the game online from his home in New Orleans, Rob posted his reaction online on Thursday:

"Gutted! I must admit I had trouble understanding the use of the expression until last night. I do now and it brilliantly describes the feeling of losing when you expect to win, are winning, and definitely outplaying the other side. And yet, in extra time, we lose.

"Losing hurts. However it’s a single step on a journey. The team learns from every encounter, win or lose, and will prepare and play every game with determination, confidence, maximum effort, and skill. As supporters, we must maintain optimism, confidence, and encourage them.

"Optimistic is not merely a word. It is a way of living. It’s my preferred way. It’s realistic to expect good things if you recognize that a journey has twists and turns to be overcome with hard work and diligence. We are fortunate to be on a wonderful journey with this club."
