Wycombe Wanderers vs Fulham U21s
Tuesday 5th November 2019, k.o. 7.45pm
Adams Park
Referee: Christopher Pollard

Wycombe need a win - either outright in 90 minutes, or via a penalty shootout - to retain any chance of qualifying for the knockout rounds of the Leasing.com Trophy, as they meet a Fulham under-21 outfit who've already been eliminated from the competition.

Gareth Ainsworth's men went down 1-0 to Stevenage in the opening group stage game, and now to leapfrog Boro (who have five points) into second spot, the Blues must either win both games against Fulham (one point) and MK Dons (six points and already qualified), or win one, collect a bonus point from a shootout in the other, and ensure their goal difference or goals scored tally is superior to Stevenage's.

It took a last-gasp winner from Scott Kashket to overcome Fulham's youngsters at the same stage last season, as Wanderers secured a 2-1 victory at Adams Park. Alex Samuel opened the scoring that night, and will be involved tonight for the first time since sustaining an injury in September.

The Blues will be hoping to kick off a trio of successive cup fixtures with a victory to continue momentum having leapt to the top of the League 1 table on Saturday. After this, they head to Tranmere in the FA Cup on Saturday, before travelling to MK for the group stage finale next Tuesday.
