Attended by more than 200 guests, including players, staff, sponsors and supporters, the event celebrated the club’s achievement in retaining their League 1 status, as well as congratulating the Ladies team on their excellent campaign, reaching two cup semi-finals and coming close to winning promotion.

Alan Sunderland collected the Volunteer of the Year prize for his excellent work with the club’s accounts team as a credit controller, while Maintenance Officer and Head Steward Richard Piercey was recognised with the Outstanding Contribution award for more than 20 years’ service.

Michael Harriman won the Community Player of the Year award for the second season in succession, having been the driving force for the hugely successful Big Sleepout at Adams Park for Wycombe Homeless Connection.

Emma Newberry came out on top of the poll for Ladies’ Player of the Season, voted for by players and coaches, while Alex Samuel was the men’s Young Player of the Season, decided upon by Gareth Ainsworth and his coaching staff.

Goal of the Season went to Jason McCarthy for his stunning free-kick against XXX, Walsall, while McCarthy also topped the vote for Supporters’ Player of the Year, and Curtis Thompson earned the accolade of Players’ Player of the Year, voted for by his team-mates.

The event was hosted by Bean With The Shot presenter Dan Simpson, and featured musical performances from Laura Williams.
