Russell Martin is the latest former Chairboys star to confirm his attendance at the screening of Sergio Torres' new film at a special event at Adams Park on Saturday 11th May.
Martin, who made his Football League debut for Wycombe in 2004 and moved with Torres to Peterborough United four years later, has just won promotion with current club MK Dons and - without the play-offs to contend with - will now be back where it all began alongside some other star names.
Tommy Mooney, Leon Johnson, Will Antwi, Scott Shearer, Steven Gregory and Tom Cadmore have also confirmed they'll be coming back to Adams Park for the hotly-anticipated event - hosted by Bill Turnbull - which brings Torres back to the place where he started his professional career.
The Argentine midfielder has teamed up with film-maker Jasper Spanjaart to tell his unique story which took him from a job in a brick-making factory in his home country, to pursuing his dream of becoming a professional footballer in England.
Torres – who also released a book about his adventure in 2014 – will be back to share his film with Wanderers fans, and take part in a Q&A session, have photos and sign copies of the DVD, which will be available to purchase on the night.
The club are also delighted to invite guests to join Sergio for a friendly kickabout on the pitch ahead of the screening, giving attendees the opportunity to step out on the hallowed turf at Adams Park and join the illustrious list of names to have scored in front of the Valley Terrace!
Tickets cost £10 for adults and £5 for juniors aged 18 and under, and will be on sale later this month, and available on the day. The kickabout will run from 5pm to 6pm, before guests move into the Caledonian Suite for the screening of the film and Q&A. The bar will be open, with food available to purchase.
To book tickets, head online to tickets.wwfc.com, call 01494 441118 or visit the shop at Adams Park (10am to 5pm on weekdays excluding Wednesdays). Guests have the option to pre-purchase a DVD for £10 at the time of booking, which can be signed by Sergio on the night.
5pm - Doors open (Caledonian Suite entrance) for registration; tickets can be purchased on arrival. Guests can make way into Caledonian Suite, or to the pitch for the kickabout
6pm - Food served in Caledonian Suite
6.25pm - Introduction from Bill Turnbull and Sergio Torres
6.30pm - Film begins
8pm - Film ends; Q&A with Sergio, Jasper and ex-players commences
All guests are welcome to take part in a kickabout on the pitch; this will be a very casual, relaxed event, giving fans the chance to play on the Adams Park turf alongside some Wycombe legends. It will not be a strict 11v11 match; fans can roll on, roll off as required.
Please bring appropriate clothing and footwear (boots or trainers are fine) but be aware that the weather forecast does suggest it will rain. The club are not able to provide showers or changing facilities for guests.
