Harri rewarded with PFA Community Champion award

Defender also presented Wycombe Homeless Connection with a cheque for £1,000.

10 May 2019

Michael Harriman was named as the club's PFA Community Champion for the second season running, collecting his award from representatives of the charity he's supported for the past 18 months.

The defender and his wife Amy became ambassadors for the Wycombe Homeless Connection charity in January 2018 and initiated the Big Sleepout at Adams Park in November, helping to raise tens of thousands of pounds for the local charity.

As well as collecting the club's own Community Player of the Season award on Sunday night - chosen and presented by the Sports & Education Trust - Harriman received the PFA Community Champion award from Heather Morley and Sam Martin from Wycombe Homeless Connection ahead of kick-off at Saturday's game against Fleetwood Town.

He also handed over a cheque for £1,000 to the charity, as part of the proceeds from the club's share of the FA Community Shield Fund, with £1,000 also going to the Chilterns MS Centre.
