Jason McCarthy has been voted the Rush High Wycombe Player of the Month for February, narrowly pipping Curtis Thompson to deny the midfielder a hat-trick of successive victories.
Right-back McCarthy wins his second award of the season so far, having topped the poll in August, and came ahead of Thompson and fellow defenders Sido Jombati and Joe Jacobson in the vote this time around.
He collected his bubbly and open jump ticket at the trampoline park in Cressex on Thursday afternoon.
"It's great to get the recognition from the fans, but the award could have gone to anyone really - especially the back four and Rocky," he said. "We've got a really good relationship at the moment, and even with Anthony coming into the defence on Saturday after a long time out, he was brilliant.
"The whole squad is contributing and that win will come soon. It's been a tough month, and Luton and Barnsley were flying so they had momentum with them, but we gave them both a good game. Performances have been good, we're still in a really strong position in the league, and we go into Saturday's game at Peterborough fully believing we can get something.
"Training's been good this week, and we're looking to spring our gameplan onto Peterborough and maybe catch them by surprise a bit. We beat them at home, so we're raring to go and believing in ourselves that we can get a result."
And it was a return to the trampoline park for the father-to-be, who says he'll be sure to take his newborn child along to Rush at some point:
"With a baby on the way we might have to wait a bit before we come back here, but when Zara's given birth we'll be bringing the little one along for sure!"
Thanks to all who voted!
