Wycombe Wanderers Ladies put their recent cup disappointments behind them by defeating Alton 6-1 on Sunday afternoon to keep their promotion hopes alive.
Following defeats to MK Dons and Southampton in the semi-finals of the Berks & Bucks Cup and League Cup respectively, Wanderers wasted no time in making amends, taking a 4-0 lead at half-time before completing the job in the second period.
Captain Charlotte Bagshaw was on the scoresheet on her return to the side, while Chante Inniss and Rachel Southby scored two each and Christina O'Connor found the target, with the clean sheet being denied by a late penalty awarded to the hosts.
Kick-off is at 2pm at Spring Lane; admission and parking is free for all.
