Dominic Gape expressed his delight after putting pen-to-paper on a new contract with the Chairboys - which sees him remain at the club for the 2019/20 season.
The 24-year-old originally joined the club on-loan from Premier League side Southampton back in 2016 - and made the move permanent a few months later following his impressive temporary switch from the Saints.
With pre-season now fully underway, the midfielder set out his hopes for the campaign - and acknowledged the importance of kicking on from last season's survival in League One.
"I am absolutely delighted and I can't wait to get the training kit back on and get some work done," he said.
"Keeping our status in League One was our target last year and we achieved that, so let's have a good pre-season and put together new targets this year and hopefully kick on."
He added: "As a whole, we have strength in so many different areas. From the coaching department to the players we have - including the strong fan base too. Their support for the 500 Club has shown their effort.
"Size isn't something that we have got but strength definitely is.
"The gaffer is great and I have worked really well with him since I have come in. It is a massive factor to keep working with him, keep pushing with him and learning off Dobbo."
