Club captain Matt Bloomfield and chairman Trevor Stroud helped kick off the new season for Wycombe Wanderers Ladies by delivering talks at the Chairgirls' registration evening at Adams Park on Thursday night.
Stroud delivered an update on the club's recent developments and the partnership with Rob Couhig, Mark Palmer and Pete Couhig, reinforcing Wanderers' commitment to supporting the Chairgirls' endeavous and helping to develop the women's game in the local community.
Bloomfield then talked through the culture within the men's team changing room, and the standards that need to be reached to succeed as a team, having previously lent his time at a number of coaching sessions for the women's team.
There was also a talk from Ladies captain Charlotte Bagshaw (pictured below) before the players put pen to paper on their registration forms for the new season in one of three teams - the first team, development team, and under-18s.
Bloomfield said afterwards: "I think it's important that everyone at the club is on the same page, pulling in the same direction, and I was more than happy to go along to the evening and explain a little bit more about how we function as a team.
"I know the women's team have had great success in the past year or two and I can tell they've got a great team spirit, some really talented individuals and dedicated coaches who are taking things forward in the right way.
"It's an exciting time for the club at many different levels and I look forward to seeing how the girls get on over the coming season."
