Wycombe Wanderers vs Doncaster Rovers
Saturday 12th January 2019, k.o. 3pm
Referee: Trevor Kettle
A busy Christmas followed by a long wait for action... the Chairboys' season finally returns to a regular schedule from this weekend onwards and Gareth Ainsworth's men have the bit between their teeth as they seek a return to form.
This time a month ago the Blues sat ninth in the table after collecting a sixth successive home league victory over Barnsley, but they've picked up just one point from five games since then, with the expectation level around Adams Park being reset towards a focus on survival first and foremost.
Saturday's visitors Doncaster's have aspirations of a top-six finish and recent results suggest they're capable, having enjoyed a perfect start to 2019 with a 5-0 thrashing of Rochdale followed by an FA Cup upset at Championship side Preston.
Rovers delivered a lesson as to the severity of the division when they condemned the Blues to a 3-0 defeat in the reverse fixure on the second matchday of the season back in August, but Wanderers have proved their credentials by taking down fellow high-flyers Peterborough and Barnsley on home turf and are hopeful of adding another scalp this weekend.

Doncaster could welcome back Niall Mason after injury, though Joe Wright is expected to be sidelined. New arrivals Aaron Lewis, Kieran Sadlier and Tyler Smith could make their league debuts for the club.
