Wanderers boss Gareth Ainsworth has allowed Craig Mackail-Smith to move on loan to League 2 side Notts County for the rest of the season.
The striker has scored three times in 25 appearances so far this season, but has only made three appearances in the past two months, with competition for places in the Chairboys frontline limiting his opportunities.
Ainsworth said: “Craig is a fantastic professional and he’s been unfortunate not to have played more football for us lately, but with other players returning to fitness and hitting good form, he hasn’t been involved as much as he would have liked.
“The move to Notts County is a great opportunity for him to play regular football, score some goals and help the club in their fight to stay in the EFL. Their manager (Neal Ardley) is a very good friend of mine who I know will get them firing again and having someone of Craig’s ability and work rate in their frontline will give them every chance."
