First Time Fans Guide
Away Fans Guide

The first game of the new decade on the first day of the first month, for Ipswich Town's first ever visit to Adams Park to meet a Wycombe Wanderers side sitting first in League 1. All of this, being shown live on Sky Sports - the first time the cameras have visited South Bucks since 2015.

Not even three successive defeats could knock the Chairboys off top spot over the festive period, and Gareth Ainsworth's men are hungry to return to winning ways by taking the scalp of the title favourites who have lost their way a little in recent weeks.

Paul Lambert was in the visiting dugout with Norwich for the first game of the 2010s at Adams Park, and returns to his former club with an Ipswich outfit who haven't won in the league since Bonfire Night.

There'll be fireworks on this occasion too, as the Blues kick off a New Year and a new era under Rob Couhig's guidance, toasting the future with a fireworks display shortly after full-time. Read on for details.

Team News.jpg

Curtis Thompson returned to action on Sunday and Darius Charles is in contention to return against Ipswich, having been given time to rest after back-to-back games over Christmas. Dominic Gape and Jack Grimmer will face late fitness tests.

Ipswich could recall Tomas Holy in goal after shipping five goals at Lincoln last time out, but Janoi Donacien, Cole Skuse and Jon Nolan are injury doubts.

Man in the Middle
Kevin Johnson last officiated Wanderers' 0-0 draw at Mansfield in September 2017, and has shown 64 yellow and three red cards in 17 games this season.

Ticket News.jpg

Chairboys fans can by online at any time and save £2 through the new TicketCo platform, either on the website at tickets.wwfc.com or the TicketCo Wallet app. As of 2pm on Tuesday, more than 7,500 tickets had been snapped up, with the away end and Origin Family Stand both sold out.

Fans are encouraged to use the online platform rather than queuing to buy a ticket from Ticket Office 1 or 2. Buying online saves you time and money, which can be better spent in the shop, bar or stadium bowl.

Please also note that there will be no cash turnstile facility in the home areas; all fans are required to present a ticket (either the QR code on a smartphone/printout, or a physical ticket).

Supporters are advised to download their QR code to their smartphone wallet, or screenshot it to the camera roll, to prevent any issues using internet data to retrieve the code from emails whilst entering at the turnstile.

Whats On.jpg

Soon after the final whistle, whatever the result, Rob Couhig will head to the centre circle to kick off a fireworks display to ring in the New Year and new era at Adams Park. Fans in the Beechdean Stand are advised to head out of the stadium and into the Chairboys Village for the best view of the display, as views from within the stand may be restricted.

Before the game, the One Can Trust foodbank will be receiving generously donated food items from Wanderers fans in the car park, and the Chairboys Village is open for business from noon, sponsored by Printkick, with the Rebellion beer tent, BBQ and Beyond BBQ vegan grill, and Rush Trampoline Park will be in attendance with their giant football darts activity.

The Rebellion Market Hall will be open in the Frank Adams Stand concourse from 1pm, with the early kick-off shown on TV, the kiosks open, and Rebellion beer for all.

Pauly Zarb will be performing before the game in the Caledonian Suite, which opens at noon and also hosts a Q&A after full-time.

Meanwhile, the new wine bar in Monty's is open from 12pm, with a wide range of wines on offer.
