It's been 17 years since these Bucks-Berks neighbours met in a competitive fixture, and with a sold-out away end and momentum building nicely around Adams Park, it's fair to say both clubs are up for the cup.

The Royals are in need of a victory to restore a feelgood factor following successive defeats in their two league games so far, though boss Jose Gomes was busy in the transfer market in the summer and could rotate his squad to grant more new arrivals the opportunity to impress.

Gareth Ainsworth's men have started with a win, a draw and two clean sheets and now turn their attentions to springing a surprise in a competition where they haven't won a tie in 90 minutes since defeating Charlton in the quarter-final back in 2006.

However, they reached the third round last season - by virtue of two penalty shoot-out triumphs - and are in the mood for continuing their good start by taking down their Championship opposition.

Sido Jombati and Curtis Thompson remain sidelined after undergoing rehabilitation on their respective injuries throughout pre-season, but Gareth Ainsworth has no fresh injury worries ahead of the game.

Reading will be without Tyler Blackett and Jordan Obita, through injury, though Rafael and Ovie Ejaria are in line for their debut.
