Wycombe Wanderers vs Walsall
Monday 22nd April 2019, k.o. 3pm
Adams Park
Referee: Charles Breakspear

Four points separate Wycombe in 18th and Walsall in 23rd, with just three games to go. The battle for survival in League 1 continues to take twists and turns, and Monday's game represents an opportunity for Wanderers to ensure the Saddlers cannot catch them, by taking three points at home for the first time since January.

Friday's performance at Rochdale was arguably just as impressive - if not more so - than the 2-0 victory at Southend six days earlier, but the difference on this occasion was the scoreline, with Dale's 1-0 win lifting them above the Blues by one point.

Meanwhile, Walsall ended a long losing streak by snatching a point against Southend at the death, netting a stoppage time penalty to draw 1-1 in Martin O'Connor's second match in caretaker charge.

The Saddlers were victorious in the reverse fixture, winning 3-2 at the end of October, but plenty has changed since that day. Now it could simply be a case of which teams can hold their nerve and summon enough fight to claw away from danger, with many remaining fixtures across the division featuring two sides embroiled in the battle... just like this one on Monday.

Team news
Nathan Tyson and Luke Bolton trained with the team before Friday's game at Rochdale and could be available again, leaving only Darius Charles sidelined.

Matt Jarvis, Kory Roberts and Adam Chambers are all absent with injuries for the Saddlers, while Martin O'Connor changed goalkeeper for Friday's game, with Chris Dunn possibly in line to keep his place between the sticks.
