Tara Woodward hits five goals in 11-0 victory over Wargrave.

1 October 2018

Wycombe Wanderers Ladies soared to the top of the First Southern Division table with an 11-0 hammering of Wargrave on Sunday afternoon.

Tara Woodward scored five and Charlotte Bagshaw, Katie Hudson, Chante Inniss, Nicole Jacobs, Emma Newberry and Alixandra Todd were also on target as Andy McIntosh's side made it three wins from three in the league.

This game never looked in doubt when Hudson, Inniss and Bagshaw had the hosts 3-0 up after 10 minutes, and a brace from Woodward made it five before Newberry struck prior to the break.

Woodward then struck a second-half hat-trick and Jacobs and Todd got in on the act, putting Wycombe three points clear of Southampton, Abingdon and Moneyfields.

The Ladies now travel to Wokingham & Emmbrook, who started the season with two 8-0 losses before recording a 5-2 win at Sandhurst at the weekend.

The game will be played on Sunday at 2pm at The ESSC (Lowther Road), Wokingham, Berks, RG41 1JB. Admission is free.
