Chante Inniss's fourth-minute goal earned a 1-0 win for Wycombe Wanderers Ladies in the League Cup on Sunday, overcoming Basingstoke Ladies at Flackwell Heath.

Having overcome Woodley in the Berks & Bucks Cup the previous weekend, Wycombe looked to extend their run of form against a Basingstoke outfit they had beaten 6-0 in the league earlier in the season.

It was a tigher affair this time around, though Andy McIntosh's side missed a hatful of second-half chances to extend their lead and make their progress to the next stage a little more comfortable.

Wanderers have now won six successive matches, and kept clean sheets in four of the last five, conceding just once.

Next up is a top-of-the-table clash with Moneyfields, who have an equally perfect 100% record in the league with four wins from four.

The game will be played on Sunday at 2pm at Moneyfields Avenue, Copnor, Portsmouth, Hampshire, PO3 6LA.

Team vs Basingstoke: Amy Batkin, Charlotte Bagshaw (c), Olivia Hall, Katie Hudson, Emma Newberry, Christina O'Connor, Natalie Barette, Jade O'Neill, Chante Inniss, Nicole Jacobs, Rachel Southby.

Subs: Tara Woodward, Finlay Lennard, Emma Dean, Bonnie Messitt.
